The Debut of Autumn Goodness into the Fall Card Series

In appears that the few Fall cards I was going to make have turned into a small collection! I’m certainly not complaining, as a matter of fact, I’m just gonna roll with it. So here you go, my first card made with the Autumn Goodness stamp set. I challenged myself to use the wheat stack on a card and struggled for a bit because I felt like it could only be the focal point. I couldn’t find any designer series paper that I felt matched the colors and the mood I was going for either. As I was putting the card together, I just kept feeling that something wasn’t right. It was too plain and just needed something more. That’s when I thought to make my own background paper with the very stamp that is the focal point! Genius, right?! Ok, well maybe not genius but definitely a good idea. Below is the finished card and as always the specifics, instructions and links to products if you would like to make this card or something similiar yourself. Card Stock – Cajun Craze (119684); Whisper White (100730); Crushed Curry (131199); Crumb Cake (120953)
Stamp Pads – Crumb Cake (147116)
Misc – Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker (151298); Basic Pearl Jewels (153662); Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends Marker ( 147951); Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (152718); Stampin’Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); Everyday Label Punch (144668)

Measurements: All measurements are in inches

Crushed Curry Card Stock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Crumb Cake Card Stock – 5 1/4″ x 4″
Cajun Craze Card Stock – 4″ x 3 1/2″
Whisper White Card Stock – 4″ x 3″
Bumblebee Ribbon – 5 3/4″

Instructions:

Fold your Cajun Craze card stock in half to create a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card base
Use your Whisper White piece to stamp your Wheat Stack using Crumb Cake ink. Be sure to stamp you image to one side of the card stock so you have enough room to punch you sentiment piece. Then die cut your wheat stack with the coordinating framelit die.
Take what is left of your Whisper White piece and punch out your sentiment shape; if you prefer you can stamp the sentiment onto the paper before punching. Use your Crumb Cake ink.
Using the wheat stack stamp; stamp randomly on the piece of Crumb Cake card stock to create a pattern paper effect. Use your Crumb Cake ink.
Using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder, emboss your Cajun Craze card stock piece.
Color your wheat stack with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends marker.
Color one of the Basic Pearl Jewels with the Dark Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends marker. (leave it on the backing sheet)
After your colored pieces have dried, assemble your card.
Adhere the Crumb Cake cardstock to your cardbase.
Add your punched sentiment to the front of the embossed Cajun Craze piece in a centered position.
Add your wheat stack to the front of the Cajun Craze cardstock just off to the side of the sentiment covering the end. Use dimensionals to pop up your wheat stack for more depth if you like.
Adhere the entire piece of the Cajun Craze card stock to the layered card base.
Remove the Basic Pearl Jewel that you have colored and add it to the card as the final touch.

Gather Together Fall Watercolor Card

Another Fall card because I just love the colors that the season brings. The colors, the leaves and the sentiment just give me the cozy idea of reading a good book in front of a fire with a cup of hot cocoa on the table next to me. The Gather Together stamp set just makes the creating part so easy, but the best part is the coordinating dies allow you to make cards with or without the stamp set as well. That’s some real value for your money with this stamp and die combo. No wonder it is featured in our mini catalog again this year as a returning favorite! Below the picture you will find the material specifics along with instructions on how to make this card yourself. Happy Stampin’.

Stamps – Gather Together (150662)
Card Stock – Cajun Craze (119684); Whisper White (100730); Bumblebee (153077);
Stamp Pads – Cajun Craze (147085); Bumblebee (153116); Mossy Meadow (147111)
Misc – Water Painters (151298); Bumblebee Ribbon (153662); Tailored Tag Punch (145667)

Measurements: All measurements are in inches

Cajun Craze Card Stock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Bumblebee Card Stock – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and scrap for the punch piece
Whisper White Card Stock – 5 1/4″ x 4″ and scrap for the punch piece
Bumblebee Ribbon – 5 3/4″

Instructions:

Fold your Cajun Craze card stock in half to create a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card base
Use your Whisper White piece to stamp your leaves around the outside edge making sure to rotate your stamp as you go and use all 3 ink colors.
Take each of your closed ink pads and squeeze the top of the ink pad case down towards the bottom pushing ink onto the inside lid of your ink pad. You can also place a few drops of reinker onto the inside of the ink pad lid if you prefer.
Take your water painter that is already filled with water and squeeze a few drops of water on to the ink in the lid of the ink pad. Use your water painter to mix the water into the ink until you get a color and consistency you like. You do not want your color to be dark for this next step.
Pick up some of your diluted ink with your water brush and test it on a scrap piece of paper. If the color of the brushed ink is one you like, apply it to the same color stamped leaves on your card filling in the leaf. Repeat this step until all of the leaves have been filled in.
Set your inked card front aside to dry.
Punch your sentiment shape out of the Whisper White card stock scrap and the Bumblebee scrap.
Stamp your sentiment onto the Whisper White piece using Mossy Meadow.
Layer the stamped sentiment piece slightly offset to the Bumblebee piece and adhere them together.
Layer the Bumblebee card front piece to the card base.
Once your stamped leaves have dried, wrap your ribbon across the front and around to the backside of the card adhering it in place with glue dots or another adhesive.
Now laver and adhere the stamped layer to the Bumblebee piece that is now part of the card base.
Finally, add your sentiment to the top of your card centered on the ribbon.

Autumn Goodness Fall Colors Card

Fall is my favorite season of the year because of all the colors and the excuse to wear a sweater and drink hot chocolate while still not wearing a coat or gloves. That crisp air always seems to be just right. This quick and easy card reminds me of all of that with it’s warm color hues and added bits of texture. I hope it inspires you to create something warm before it turns oh so cold.

Instructions:

Fold the large piece of Early Espresso card stock in half creating a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base
Emboss the large piece of Crumb Cake card stock to use as your card front
Emboss the copper foil paper and adhere to the front of the large piece of Crumb Cake card stock and adhere to your card base
Punch your desired images from your DSP and adhere to the copper trim
Die cut the 3+ label shapes from each piece of card stock in your desired sizes
Stamp your sentiment onto the smallest die cut label piece
Layer the die cuts labels from largest to smallest adhering each layer to the one before and finally adhering to the card front
Add one final punched element onto the sentiment label as your finishing touch

Tasteful Touches Card #3

Here is the third card in my series feature of the In Good Taste suite.

This card features the stamping technique, generational stamping. This means that you achieve different color impressions by not reinking your stamp each time.

Stamp Pads – Night of Navy Ink (147110);

Measurements:

Night of Navy Card Stock 1: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”
Whisper White Card Stock 2: 4” x 5 ¼” 4” x 5 ¼”
Misty Moonlight Card Stock 3: 1″ x 4″
Topper DSP: 1″ x 4″

Instructions:

Fold your Night of Navy card stock in half to create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base
Use one of your Whisper White pieces to stamp your feathers using the Night of Navy ink. You want to use generation stamping. Stamp the image at least 3 times before reinking it.
Adhere the other piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of your card base
Use the topper DSP piece to die cut your accent shapes
Stamp your sentiment onto the piece of Misty Moonlight using Night of Navy ink
Position and adhere your sentiment piece to the front of the card being careful to place your adhesive closer to the center of the DSP piece to allow for embellishment
Take your die cuts (cut in half) and position them to your liking and adhere them down
Take your wooden element pieces and position them how you like them (tucked under your sentiment piece) and adhere them down
If you would like to add an inside finishing touch, stamp another feather on the inside of the card base onto one of the lower corners

Tasteful Touches Stamp Set 10 Minute Card #2

Here is the second card in this set of three 10 minute cards made with the Tasteful Touches stamp set of the In Good Taste Suite. This card happens to be my favorite one of the three. Instructions:

Fold your Night of Navy card stock in half to create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base

After your flowers have been stamped and are dry; fussy cut them out to be placed on your card
Adhere your background DSP to the front of your card base
Adhere the other piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of your card base
Use the topper DSP piece to die cut your sentiment shape
Stamp your sentiment onto the newly die cut shape using Night of Navy ink
Position and adhere your sentiment piece to the front of the card being careful to place your adhesive closer to the center of the DSP piece to allow for embellishment
Take your stamped flowers and position them to your liking and adhere them down
Take your wooden element pieces and position them how you like them (tucked under your sentiment piece) and adhere them down
If you would like to add an inside finishing touch, stamp another flower on the inside of the card base onto one of the lower corners

Tasteful Touches Card #1

Having successfully navigated through a very difficult month in my life it’s time to get back to the stuff I enjoy; making and sharing cards!

This week I’m going to be show casing the In Good Taste Suite which features the Tastful Touches stamp bundle. I’m also trying my hand at video tutorials, so please be kind.

What I love most about the cards I will be sharing is that each one can be created in just 10 minutes which is totally my style of crafting since my life is already full with 3 kids, a full time job and my community obligations.

As always the written directions are provided below the card image and I would love for you to share your creations inspired by today’s project.

Supplies:

Stamp Sets – Tasteful Touches(152562);
Card Stock – Night of Navy (100867); Very Vanilla (101650);
Stamp Pads – Night of Navy Ink (147110);
Misc. – In Good Taste Elements (152476); Tasteful Touches Framelit (152886); Dimensionals (104430);

Measurements:

Night of Navy Card Stock 1: 11” x 4 1/4” Scraps for Diecut and accent piece
Very Vanilla Card Stock 2: 4” x 5 ¼”
Background DSP: 4” x 5 ¼”
Topper DSP: 2” x 1 1/2”

Instructions:

Fold your Night of Navy card stock in half to create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base
Use your background DSP piece to stamp your images using the Night of Navy ink
Adhere your background DSP to the front of your card base
Adhere the Very Vanilla card stock to the inside of your card base
Use your large Night of Navy card stock scrap piece to die cut your sentiment frame
Cut the topper DSP piece with the same framelit and then trim it inside the embossed edges to fit inside the die cut card stock piece
Stamp your sentiment onto the newly die cut piece of DSP
Adhere both the die cut cardstock and the stamped DSP together
Adhere your ¼” wide strip of card stock across the middle of the card front
Adhere the sentiment topper over the card stock strip using dimensionals if desired
Embellish with your elements however you like to finish your card

Creating by accident with Forever Fern

I just love this card and to tell the truth the picture provide does not do it justice! What you cannot see in the picture is that EVERYTHING is lifted off the card except the sentiment strip. The pieces of the card literally come towards you as you hold the card. It is so cool. And to think it all came about by accident just playing around with the dies determined to make something. I’m just a little excited about this one if you can’t tell, lol. The glitter piece just seems to finish everything off.

Blackberry Bliss Card Stock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Soft Sea Foam Card Stock – 4″ x 8″ for die cutting
Whisper White Card Stock – 4″ x 8″ for die cutting and sentiment
Silver Foil Paper – scrap for die cut

Instructions:

Fold your Blackberry Bliss card stock in half to create a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card base
Use your Whisper White piece to stamp your berries in Blackberry Bliss ink, at least 3 sets. Then die cut your stamped berries with the coordinating framelit
Stamp your sentiment on a scrap piece of Whisper White using the Smokey Slate ink. Then cut your sentiment into a desired shape (banner, flag, rectangle, etc.)
Die cut at least 3 fern leaves from the Soft Sea Foam card stock. You can cut more if you want a fuller backing
Die cut the last wreath like flourish from the Sliver Foil paper
Take your die cut pieces starting with the Soft Sea Foam leaves and arrange them on the card base only gluing the bottom end pieces of the die cuts to the card base leaving the top portion free to move and lift off of the card
Layer the stamped berries atop the leaf die cuts and adhere the same way so that the bottoms are secure but the tops are free to lift up off the card

Creating Simple Elegance with the Beauty Abounds Set

Sometimes you need that card that is versatile, simple and elegant. When that is the case you can’t go wrong with the classic color combination of black and white. That was my starting point and inspiration for this card created with the Beauty Abounds stamp set. I think I accomplished the goal of versatile, simple and elegant. What do you think? Supplies:

Stamps – Beauty Abounds (148726)
Card Stock – Basic Black (121045); Whisper White (100730); Thick Whisper White (140272)
Stamp Pads – Memento Tuxedo Black (132708)
Misc – Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Measurements: All measurements are in inches

Thick Whisper White Card Stock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Basic Black Card Stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White Card Stock – 3 3/4″ x 5″

Instructions:

Fold your Thick Whisper White card stock in half to create a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card base
Use your Whisper White piece to stamp your flourishes. Align your flourishes slightly off the paper to get the overlapping pack that reaches the center of the card
Stamp your sentiments on to the card stock around the flourishes
Adhere the piece of black card stock to the card base, then adhere the stamped white piece atop the black piece
After your card is all assembled, add your rhinestones for a finished embellished look
