Hello! If you are joining me from the blog hop and this is your first time visiting, welcome and I hope to see you again! I’m both honored and excited to be a part of this blog hop with so many other talented designers from across the world, it is truly humbling. I’m sure you want to get on with the card, so here we go……

I chose to use the Flowering Blooms stamp set and it seems to be my current favorite as I just cannot put it down. As a quick and simple card maker I’m always looking for ways to step up my card without a lot of additional time and effort because I have very little of both left available, lol. With this card the perfect solution was using a classic black and white color scheme with the soft embossed background for just the slightest over the top touch. I think this card turned out beautifully. What do you think?

If you would like to make this card yourself here are the steps and measurements:

  • Basic Black Cardstock
    • 8.5 x 5.5 folded in half for your card base
    • 3.25 x 3.75 for the large matting layer
    • 1.25 x 3.5 for the sentiment matting layer
  • Whisper White Cardstock
    • 4 3/16 x 5 6/16 for the embossed layer
    • 3 x 3.5 for the stamped image layer
    • 1 x 3.25 for the sentiment layer
  • You will emboss the large white layer with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder before assembling your card.
  • Once you have stamped all your images to your whisper white pieces using Black Memento Ink or another ink color of your choice you are ready to assemble all pieces as shown.
  • I used Tombow Mono Liquid Glue however you can use whatever adhesive you prefer.

Should you be inspired to make your own card from this example I would love for you to post your creation to my FB page at www.facebook.com/designsbychancestamps or tag me on Instagram @designs.by.chance

I hope to see you again soon! Now on to the next designer in this hop:
